does anyone out there repair canonet 17 cameras?
i have two that have winder problems. the first
(a g-3) the film advance lever wont lock after advancing to the next frame (the counter works, and the shutter cocks, but it will just wind and wind and wind) the other canonet (a ql) the
counter wont advance, and stays on "0", and it
ALLWAYS locks, even after just closing the door
(it should allow the lever to move three times before locking) any advice, or repair information most appriciated. thanks, adrian

The first problem is not uncommon and related to a probably misbent lever which should ride on a cam on the counter disk. This lever should activate the double-wind latch after frame #1. Check the frame counter assembly after top cover removal.

The second problem is probably located pretty close. Maybe the pin which protrudes through the rear body groove is misbent and frees the counter disk all the time so it will never be advanced to frame #1.
