Can anyone tell me in a couple of lines, how the viewfinder LED's are supposed to work.
Intuitively I suspect the two LEDs should oscillate when correct stop-down exposure is set - but I do not know this for certain. I have a mint 12XP with a metering problem but before any surgery it is necessary to know just what I am trying to achieve. Something definitive would be most gratefully received.

Tha's correct - top light means over, bottom means under, blinking means correct. You can get the user manual from my website:

My 12cd is not focusing correctly.

When the microprisms in viewfinder says the image is in focus, there the film does not receiving a sharp image.

How can I solve this problem?

Do you get a sharp picture when you use the distance scale on the lens instead of focusing in the viewfinder? If so, it could be that the mirror is slightly out of adjustment.
