I need help finding a way to repair the light meter after dropping the camera. It is a Pentax Spotmatic. The meter seems to be stuck when looking through viewfinder, battery is new.

Hi Chris,
Look at http://www.robertstech.com/pentax.htm
There is a service manual for spotmatic in PDF (free). It is not a complete manual but lightmeter is well refered.
I hope this can be useful

sounds like maybe the meter armture is off the pivots. The only cure is replace the meter-- (they are no longer available new--or take the ammeter apart and with things like dental probes--carefully get the armature back on the pivots-be very careful not to damage the coil springs at the top and bottom of armature.

I do not know how to open the camera to get to the ammeter, please tell me how

Oh boy, this is definitely not a repair task for the uninitiated (if you care at all about your camera). I'd practice on a couple of $5 thriftstore beaters before I'd attempt to get into repairing anything I care about.
