rick, i got the thing taken apart--it was a lot easier than i thought. turns out this shutter had been pretty badly treated. parts were bent and tweaked. more bending, tweaking, and some careful lubing seems to have put everything right as rain. i'm so stoked! all shutter settings buzz along really nicely, though a tad long at the slow end, i think.
