Rewind does not appear to screw off and there is no advance lever. My reason to disassemble is that the camera eats batteries even when it is turned off. In a day or so they are dead. Otherwise the camera works perfectly. I am assuming that barring a visible short the transistor in the shutter circuit is leaky. I might have a shot at replacing it if I can get the cover off, although without a manual my chances are not great. But camera is practically useless as it is. I am not up for removing the batteries after every shoot. I believe this is a very common problem.
