Sounds as if the shutter was tensioned and left stored and weakened the barrel springs, also before retensioning give the camera a good cleaning and lube pivots for shutter barrel. If it is still sluggish then go to the bottom and give the shutter screws a 1/4 turn at a time until it works normal. A lot of times they just need cleaning. To access the inside of the bottom just remove 2-screws. Check Rick Olesons link here on the site. Good luck...Don
