Hello. I have a Nikkor 28/2.8 that must have been damaged on a hike, because when I returned from the hike, the focus ring is stiff. It is looser at the edges, but in the middle it is far too stiff to auto focus.

Lens repair costs would be more than the lens is worth, so I was considering trying to repair it myself. What do you think?
