I prefer the Canon screen, I have never liked nor used 'in anger' a microprism ring or microprism centre screen. You may find that a bit of experimentation will help you decide, the cost of purchasing a couple of screens for modification is not out of this world. No different really to the T90 owner purchasing two or three screens, to get the best out of his range of lenses.
