Use either a bent hook shaped paper clip or a crochet hook to snag the back cover release. It's a straight wire that runs across the hole and once you snag it, pull gently upward and this will release your camera back.
When you go to push the shaft back up into the hole you might find it won't go in, if so simply file a small angle on the flat shoulder of the shaft where the threads start and this flat spot should help guide the shaft past the release mechanism.
