You probably changed how the shims between the focusing screen and mounting frame were arranged, causing the distance between the lens and focusing screen to change.

The other possibility is that you leaned on the mirror enough to change the position of the stop it rests on. Many SLRs allow the exact location of that stop to be changed very carefully, which changes the tilt of the mirror to get the film-to-lens distance the same as the screen-to-lens distance.
