Your assumption is right, A goes to B here.
Sometimes traces of old cement reveal the mirror's original position.
But before reglueing you have to check first if there is enough room for the meter needle and its counterweight above the mirror to move freely. So do not put the mirror neither too high nor too low, its correct position should level with the slightly wider lens-like glass of the RF to the left of your "A" arrow.
Epoxy cures too fast for any corrections necessary, that is why I often prefer contact glue for that purpose.
