Hello,

I opened my Canon AE-1 Program last weekend and fixed the shutter squeak (using a syringe needle from the top) and also adjusted the shutter speeds.

Next, I want to try lubing the important parts of the camera (winding and shutter release gears).

I was able to open the lower and upper cover without too much trouble. But going further probably required lifting off the plastic sheet of the circuit that also covers the pentaprism.

Any pointers on how to proceed for this? Do I even need to take that circuit strip off to lube the important gears? Advise?

Thanks.
