Personally I just cut a piece of 1/32nd or 1/64th thick Plexiglas or Lexan and sandpaper one side. Easy to make it too fine or too coarse. And, as for springs flying off to nowhere, make yourself a big clear plastic box with holes for your hands to fit through. Put the box over your work area. Work on the camera in the box. Never lose a part again. As for part trays, get your favorite tray and glue magnets to the bottom of it. The magnetism will work through the tray. Or you can get plenty of those flexible magnetic ads, trim to fit and glue them to the bottom of trays. |
