Not necessarily. Imagine light leak in the lens board, off center. Baffles in the film chamber will cast shadow that's sharp, and rebates won't be any more influenced than when taking a photo.

Also, shots at 1/500 are most likely to have been taken with strong external light (sunny day), which would make any light leaks more obvious.

This is a good track I think.
