I have assembled three Contaxflex I/II Tessa lenses so far. Here is how I did it:

1) Make sure the front lens sits flat (keeping flat is the key) on the tube and it is at the right thread.
2) Put a little pressure and rotate the lens counter clockwise until you feel a subtle click. If you forget to mark it before you disassemble the front lens, this may also help finding the right thread.
3) Rotate clockwise and you will feel some resistance. If no, repeat step 2. Force it a little bit and it will go right in. It normally takes me less than three tries.

These steps also work well on RF and SLR lenses.
