Hi,
I've posted a couple of questions regarding the Petri Color 35 before and received some very helpful advice. Hoping for a bit more! When I was using the camera recently, I noticed that on winding the lens out with the serrated wheel, the lens didn't remain parallel to the film plane. This was evidenced by the relationship of the ASA setting black plastic ring to the lens mount that is part of the camera body. Looking around the circumference of the ASA setting ring, it's obvious that there is more of it showing underneath than there is on top, giving the impression that the moving lens assembly is skewed relative to the fixed mount. I'd appreciate it if anyone here who has a Color 35 could have a look and tell me whether theirs is the same, please, as I'd like to know whether I'm seeing a fault that needs sorting out or whether it's a characteristic, i.e. "they're all like that."
Any information much appreciated.
Best wishes,
Steve
