If you have mechanical aptitude, and have worked on other cameras, it is a straightforward enough job. Getting the camera CLAd professionally would probably not be economic. Perhaps you could avoid using the slow speeds? Or, if you want to take up camera repair as a hobby, you could make it your first project. There are some useful repair books reviewed on this site, and people here are helpful with advice.
