This is sort of a duplicate post. I posted a similar one in the Maintenance and Repair forum on this same subject.

The XG-M I have has a trashed focusing screen -- it's all scratched up. I want to replace it, but I haven't been able to find any yet. So I'm wondering if a screen from another manual focus Minolta from that same general era might work. I found a factory replacement screen for an X700 on eBay and it looked very similar to the XG-M screen. If the dimensions are the same, I'm thinking it will probably work. But I'd like to find out for sure it will before I shell out the bucks for that silly screen -- which is more than I paid for the camera with lens.

So -- anybody got any Minolta screens from that era they'd like to part with that'll work on an XG-M? Or, barring that, just interchangeability information?
