Pick images at interval distances from you...3 feet, 7 feet, 10 feet, 15 feet, and then of course infinity (I use a large utility pole about 150 yards from my house). Adjust so that the finder sees these as in focus. If after doing this, the images are blurry, somebody has tampered with your lens or there is another problem, and we'll need to attack it from a different angle. Jon
