Hello again,

I have an Olympus OM-4 with some electronic issues. I have never worked on the later line of Olympus cameras so I would appreciate some help with things as basic as taking off the winding assemble (I am currently assuming a pair of needle nose pliers but the sloped surface causes a fair amount of slippage).

As to the specific problem, the camera fires on a 60th of second and nothing elese with good batteries and in any mode, and the self timer variously blinks slowly and beeps when in the down position (but does not actuate the shutter) blinks rapidly when in the up position, and is silent when you push it to the right. Any help would be appreciated.

Andy.
