A friend has a Canon AE1 that he has not used for many years, his son is taking a photography class in school and wants to use the camera. We cannot get the standard lens to go on the camera, it is the type that you turn the lens clockwise to lock it on, it won't fit tight against the body and won't turn at all. His telephoto lens is a Vivitar with the ring mount that turns and it goes on easily. What are we doing wrong?
