Hi, the lens in question is a Yashinon DS-M 50mm/1.7 in M42 screw mount. this is the first lens I ever took apart. Taking it apart was easy; I shorten a spring to fix the sluggish aperture blades problem.
But now I can't reassemble the helicoids back together.

The problem is that the bottom brass helicoid ring screws onto the top steel helicoid counterclock wise, it must also screw into the bottom part of the lens clockwise. two shafts must also fit into two slots in the top steel helicoid.

After struggling with it for hours, I can't fit them back together.
can anyone offer any advice?
