The best way to clean up the camera is to use naphtha or denatured alcohol. Naphtha is the same thing as cigarette lighter fluid (such as Ronsonol). As for the seal material, I can send you a kit for as little as $6, and I can also send you special instructions for the Canonet GIII (as well as other Canonet second series models). The instructions explain all aspects of re-sealing the camera, and the new 1.5mm open-celled foam is excellent in this camera...the best I have ever seen.
