Hello David.
To acess the diaphragm blades,
First remove the plastic name ring on the front of the lens.
Next remove 3 screws behind it.
Next remove filter holder complete lens assembly.
Watch out for the spring and ball for aperture clicks.
Now you see a plastic disc held with 3 screws.
Remove these screws and disc and you can remove the blades and operating ring.
they must all be cleaned and refitted.
Make careful notes as you go along so you will understand the re-assembly.
Last go back to where you added lubricant and clean all this out as this is what causes the problem in the first place.
