I recently picked up a Yashica GT in very rough shape. The guy advertised it "like new." I'd hate to see what he calls a junker! Anyway, I've cleaned it up as best I can, inserted a battery and to my amazement the meter is still working. However, I've noticed that if the yellow caution light goes off at say F5.6, and below, it comes back on at F1.7. Moving it up to 2.8 and it goes out again. Does this call for the pad replacement? I haven't tried that repair and some say that it must be done through the front of the camera and others say it can be done from the bottom. Any advice?
