Author Message   Ed Rating: N/A Votes: 0 Posted on Monday, June 27, 2005 - 12:11 pm:    1/8 second is one of the most difficult speeds--only a short section of the gear travel is used and if the shutter is used FREQUENTLY at that speed you could end up with a escapement problem and replacement is not available. Try adjusting the escapement by lossening the retaining screw toward top of camera and see if you can change the speed--the next step would be to adjust by CAREFULLY bending the escapement slightly outward to increase time, if you break off this pin, you are in trouble.
