Hi,

The winding lever on a Retina IIIc lost its "return"; the spring on the winding shaft was broken. Good fortune prevailed and I found a NOS part. But now that I've replaced the part I need some advise on how to re-tension the spring. Seems like winding it from the top, at the clutch, without the rack installed (replacing the rack after retensioning), is a likely method. The repair parts (winding shaft and rack) were fairly expensive so I don't want to make a big mistake. Anyone know for sure?
