I'm just in the process of cleaning a Compur Rapid shutter (type EX/CR00) of my Voigtländer Perkeo II folder.

During disassembly i noticed that 1 shutter blade is different from the others. It has 2 holes instead of 1.

The Deckel Spareparts catalog calls this shutter blade a Cover blade (part N/CRoo-208/7.

With this shutter that Cover blade is mounted second from the top (see red arrow). Now i have the question if this is the normal position for the coverblade ? Regarding its name i would have expected it sitting on top.

btw The fluid dripping from the blades is oil. A former owner thought that a flooding with oil would be a good idea ;-)
