I'm going to build the Tomsey light source and shutter tester and am thinking of updating them a bit. Would one be wise to use LEDs or something other than a standard incandescent reflector bulb for the standard light source? In the shutter tester what modifications would make it more DMM friendly ? I have a Fluke 77 and don't feel like spending $200.00 to $300.00 for a new Simpson 260 the only quality analog still produced and supported I know of. Guess you might get Lucky on Ebay and buy a latter model Triplet or Simpson. A related question is does anyone have a part number or even better a good source for the shutter tester Photo transistor ? I don't trust radio shack quality if they even still stock something like that. Thanks Jay Thanks for any help Jay |
