Sorry! Thought you had some experience in this field.
CLA = Clean, Lubed, & Adjusted, an orange stick is like cuticle pusher for the nails on hands & feet.
Even though you have the positive attitude, suggest sending it out for service as the camera has done excellent for some 20 years, overdue for a full service. I would not like to see you get into an expensive repair & not really a good idea to learn on a complex unit as an F1.
The shutter curtains are not very forgiving on this model, not much thicker than aluminum foil. The coil wires are finner than a human hair. Find a less expensive camera to learn on, so you can understand the operation & function of everything. Try DAG camera service, he has a good reputation, but that is your call. I am sure there are other service centers that will treat you fair & you will be happy to have your camera up & running & to support them keeps them going so they don't close down.
