I personally do not think $25 is out of the way, the SL is a very good camera and a serviceable one will soon get your outlay in the manual back. There is much on Google about the SL and I seem to think that there was a free download a good while back - forgotten the site and cannot be bothered to search through all the German language stuff at the moment!
