I you are serius abt fixing it yrself first try to understand how the mechanism works. I tis eaasy to find out wat went wrong and fix it. Though no tow camears are fully alike ther are always similarities but the sequece of operation, basic logic is same in all SLRs. when you advance the film simultaneously you are cocking shutter as well as the mirror mechanism. Let me explain the order of evenets
