Hi,

We have a Prinzflex CX camera, which is an amazing camera, but it has picked up an intermittent fault.

When we use it now, roughly 50% of the time it doesn't wind on for a full frame, and so either creates a multiple exposure, or overlaps the frames when it has only partially wound on.

We've opened up the back and have found that pressing the exposure button without a film then winding it on causes the take up spool (where the film winds to) to usually move, but the spool with the sprocket teeth doesn't always fully rotate.

We have considered that it might be the multiple exposure switch sticking, possibly the rewind button mechanism engaging erroneously, or a fault with the winding lever itself, but we are unsure.

Can anyone suggest troubleshooting steps we could take to properly isolate the problem, and give any hints for disassembly as I have been hesitant to dismantle it without being sure I could get it back together again!

Thanks in advance,

Rich
