Hello everybody!

I have a problem with my Canon F1 new. When i set the shutter speed the meter indicator window always "blacks out" for a short moment. Its the same as if you set the speed dial to A, then the vertical meter window disappears. The same happens for me everytime I change the speed dial to a shorter speed, only for a very short moment, but I'm afraid something might be wrong.
Also the speed dial is very hard to turn. Maybe those two issues are connected somehow.
I tried opening the top of the camera myself, but I cant do it. I'm quite afraid of braking something (for example the speed dial cap which is glued there)

Can anybody assist me with this? How can i open the top without scratching anything?
Do more people have this issue???

Thank you all for the help!
Moriz
