Few days ago i've bought yashinon-dx 50mm f1.4 with impossible to turn focus ring, for $5 -thinking that i could disassemble and fix it myself. I was able to remove element housing assembly, and stored it separately to prevent any damage while i try to fix the focusing mechanism. also from the look of it, somebody's already been messing with it, as there are some missing screws. but it seems that focusing mechanism is stubborn and stuck into the base of the barrel, as if it's been cemented or super-glued intentionally.

can anyone tell me how to separate focus barrel from the base of the lens??? am i missing something here. please help!
