Although I'm sure a CLA would be the best solution, if the thing has sat a long time, the cheapskate's first move would be to set it on each of the low speeds, and fire it about 50 times. Sometimes a lazy escapement will wake up with use. I've had good luck on a couple of old cameras that would occasionally misfire on low speeds. Worth a try, at least. |
