The problem: The focus ring feels stiff when it turns, and the focus itself does not change. In other words, you can turn the ring, with some difficulty, but the lens doesn't focus. I got this lens for very little money, and have no sentimental attachment to it, so I'm thinking I might try fixing it myself. My goal is to make it a nice lens for a user, and not turn it into a bucket of parts! So I'd appreciate any tips. By the way, this is my first visit to this site. I'm very impressed with the knowledge and helpfulness here, and I've already learned a lot. Thanks in advance.
