Unscrupulous camera shops sell them to rubes because they (along with Olympias [sic] and Cannons [sic]) look like "real" cameras. I hope you didn't pay more than $2 (the going garage sale rate here). I like to paint them with gold spray-paint (the stuff from auto supply stores is the best) throw some craft-store glitter on and (voila!) instant camera christmas ornament. Just a thought.
