Hi all,

Here is more info on the same. I opened up the front of my camera by removing the zoom lens, and disabled the shutter. After this, I could see that the movement of the mirror was a bit stiff, and I prodded it back and forth gently until it began to move freely.

However, there is still a problem (I think). If you take a look at the pic, now the mirror has swivelled to its correct position, now exposing the place where the film ought to be. However, there is this other mirror, and it is not quite straight. I would imagine that such ought to be the case. I suspect that this misalignment happened when the camera fell once (probably) although it was still in the cover.

Please excuse my poor description of the problem. I do not know any of the terms for these components.

Any help in resolving this issue is greatly appreciated.

Regards
Vivek
