Probably the best strategy is a similar camera as a parts donor. Look for one with (say) blown out bellows. It wouldn't need to be the unusual No. 4 size, a No. 2 or 2A would probably be a lot cheaper. The leather is probably held onto the body with shellac. It should go across the hole, of course. You could cut the same peice of leather off the other camera, lift it, pull the pin, and transplant. Yeah, there will be a seam in the pebble grain. |
