My mother received a Canon EOS Rebel K2 for Christmas. Two days later she dropped it and broke the film door latch. I have since ordered a new latch, but I cannot figure out how to disassemble the door to replace the latch. There are 6 visible screws that I can remove, but the door will not come apart. Any help on this would be appreciated. Thanks

Remove pressure plate, that will give you access to seventh screw. Be carefull not to damage the flex connector. Good luck.
