I have a Vivitar TX lens with a Canon mount. The camera I have is a Pentax ES-II. I have the proper TX mount that has the open aperture metering coupling but I cannot mount it on to the lens. The Canon mount goes on and off without difficulty but the Pentax mount doesn't want to cooperate. Is there some sort of special procedure for mounting the Pentax mount into a TX lens? I know there is a special procedure for the YS lenses. The mount I have came with some other items and didn't come with instructions.

Thanks,
Mark

Mark,

I have little experience with the TX system and none with the ES adapter, but it should go together smoothly if the pin on the adapter and correct coupling in the lens are aligned. I know a bit more about the similar T4 system. Check here.
