The eternal second blind pawl! I read an old post here where someone had attempted to 'spring' the pawl with a piece of an eraser but not sure how that ended (can't find it). My question is: the pawl is 'sprung' by a small spring that sits behind it. The question is how does that spring fit in the housing behind the pawl? We've never seen it as when you get to it it's already moved...so how exactly does it position in the housing? I can post a picture if there's any chance someone might know. |

Post a picture... I had my Z4 opened and stripped down totally, but it's been a while and my memory could use some help... ;) Marek |

I suspect the end of this spring breaks off? I re-shaped the end and there you go, all low speeds work now. |
