Push in the shooting button, hold it, apply gentle pressure to the timer lever. When it finishes buzzing and the shutter shoots, don't touch the self timer ever again. The shutter should work ok. |

I tried that but,its locked up tight. I was able to remove the timer assembly and reassemble the camera. The shutter works fine without the timer. There is one gear on the timer assembly that will not move. Is this a common problem with these? |

The most common cause of this is dirt in the gears. |
