I'm in the process of replacing the rewind knob on a Nikon EM and inadvertently the back closed. Does anyone know how to open the back without the use of the rewind assembly being in place.
Thanks

You need something like a dental pick or similar tool to hook onto and pull up the release. A tool with a 90º bend at the end would work best.

Thanks. Managed to open the back by using a paper clip with a hook on it.
Next time I'll be more careful
