Found a beautiful Vitessa T in a recycle store.

Got the shutter working after some naphta treatment. But I noticed transport was irregular or mostly not working at all.

However, I shot a roll of film that was perfectly exposed and with perfect evenly spaced frames this afternoon.

I achieved this by pushing before every film transport cycle the "film release for film changing" button on the bottom of the protruding part of the body. This is button number 19 in the manual (http://www.cameramanuals.org/voigtlander_pdf/voigtlander_vitessa_t.pdf).I discovered this "solution" by accident. I suppose it activates something in the interlocking mechanism???

I read on the forum that one has to disassemble the film counter to see the plunger mechanism. Being not more than a courageous (or stupid) amateur I would like to avoid this.

I therefore wonder whether my Vitessa's transport problem and its odd 'solution' by using button 19 is an indication of a specific problem with a specific solution?

Thanks in advance for any help.
