I have recently picked up a Zeiis super ikonta 530 /2 and have just run a film through it and have developed it... whilst I am really pleased with the quality of images , I have noticed a light leak is leaving a mark on the negs in the area of the red window.. ( it has two red windows and I have the 4.5 x 6 taped permantly over and just uncover the 6x9 window when winding on ) the light marks are not on every frame, but have only shown up on a couple and go from the very edge of the frame in for about a quarter of an inch to half inch .. which is leading me to beleive that the light is getting in when I uncover the to wind the film on and just catching the edge of the film, I have worked out that there is a light seal around the windows under the pressure plate and that they are probably squashed... the thing is I would need to remove the pressure plate to replace the light seals and are a bit nervous to try it as I cant work out if and how it can be removed... any ideas... thanks, Stephen |
