I have an Asahi Pentax Spotmatic. The film advance lever is stuck. Is there anyway I can fix this? Has anyone run into this problem before? Any help appreciated. This is really annoying. Later. |

Mike, Your Spotmatic only needs a battery to operate the lightmeter. Changing it will not bring the camera to life,as it is fully mechanical. Maybe you should tell us more about how 'stuck' the Spotmatic is. Is the mirror up or down? Sometimes removing the bottom plate and observing how things work might give you a clue what made it 'stuck'. Good luck, Jan |

Pentax ME super. Film advance lever will only move off release and will not advance film. The rewind release button on the bottom is also now stuck in the rewind mode. The mirror is now in the up position but releases if you manually move the catch inside the body.It seems the advance mechanism is hitting something but I cannot see a problem removing the tab. Similar problem with my Pentax P30t but the mirror is down on this one. Never lend a camera to an artist friend!!! Any help will be appreciated. Jim |
