Hi everyone.
I have a problem with my Balda Baldini folding camera. Sometimes when I want to release the shutter the little arm that is used to cock the shutter needs a push.
I tried to take the front of the shutter as discribed on [http://www.rolandandcaroline.co.uk/repair/prontors1.html] but the Prontor-s on the Baldini does not look exactly the same as on the Agfa. When the front lense is removed I cant remove the serrated ring. I can loosen it but the "pipe" that the front lense is screwed into has a collar that stoppes the ring from being removed.
Does anyone have a clue on how to proceed? Or do I have to take everything apart? I dont think I can manage that. I have serviced a few Zeiss Ikon folders simply by removing the frontplate and cleaning the mechanism with alcohol and thought that it would be possible on this camera as well. It would be nice with a 135 folder, all my other ones are for 120 film.

On some shutter/lens arrangements you will have to remove the mount of the second lens element, too, to be able to remove the serrated nut. Usually this mount has two grooves on its collar so you can apply a spanner wrench, or, as a replacement, the short blades of a cheap caliper gauge. |

Now I got everything apart, and back together again, now everything but the longest times work. I never use them anyway so I'm happy.
Now I want to see how it performes.
