I recently purchased an Emprex 5100Z, only to find a few weeks later that whenever I photograph a still image, there appears to be an extreme white hue (without flash). The white hue is so extreme that the object is unrecognizable. I tried contacting Emprex a month ago, but they haven't responded yet. No, I did not bash it against a counter. |

In your last sentence you say what should be done, this is a forum for vintage cameras! |

I believe I can safely say without a shadow of a doubt that the Emprex 5100Z will never, EVER, be considered a "Classic Camera". |

well, I was abit desperate to find any sort of help for my camera. Apparently, the manufacturer itself is unable to reply even after one month. |

We will be no help to you here. Whoever makes your camera probably makes the Pentax Optio S5z too. They look nearly identical when comparing an ebay ad to a Steve's Digicam test article. Take it to a Pentax service center. If they can't help you, mark it up as a learning experience. Don't buy a price tag. In hi-tech stuff stick to the name brands. Poor Rick is still trying to find Emprex in his 10 year old McKeown's... Henry |
